PHP Winter 2024 Grants Awarded

Philadelphia Health Partnership has awarded $455,000 to organizations focused on advancing equity in health and early childhood health and development.
In December 2024, grants were awarded to eight nonprofits through our Nurture, Connect, Advocate, and Lead initiatives.
NURTURE – Promoting the Optimal Development of Children from Prenatal to Age Five to Influence Health and Well-Being Across the Lifespan
- Oshun Family Center: $65,000 in support of racially concordant care for Black birthing families including trauma-informed therapy and support services for every stage of the birthing journey.
CONNECT – Improving Access to Equitable Care and Services to Address Disparities in Health and Well-Being
- African Family Health Organization: $75,000 in support of culturally- and linguistically- sensitive health, human, and educational services for African and Caribbean immigrants and refugees.
- La Puerta Abierta: $50,000 in support of culturally- and trauma-informed mental health support for immigrants and refugees and cross-systems provider training to promote equitable care.
- Nationalities Service Center: $75,000 in support of programs and services that welcome and empower immigrants and refugees to achieve a life of safety and stability, sustainable opportunities, and meaningful community connections.
- SEAMAAC: $65,000 in support of programs and services for immigrants, refugees, and other marginalized community members as they seek to advance the condition of their lives in the United States.
ADVOCATE – Advancing Policy, Systems, and Structural Change to Achieve Equity in Health
- Lenfest Institute for Journalism: $35,000 in support of the Every Voice, Every Vote coalition’s work to improve civic information and engagement regarding city government activities and their impact on people’s lives.
- New Voices for Reproductive Justice: $50,000 in support of community organizing, civic engagement, and advocacy to advance reproductive justice by building power for and with Black women, Black queer folks, and Black marginalized people.
LEAD – Building the Capacity of the Nonprofit and Health and Human Service Sectors for Racial Justice and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- we R.E.I.G.N: $40,000 in support of leadership development and civic engagement programs for young people who identify as Black girls to become change agents in their own lives and communities.
