Philadelphia Health Partnership awards $555,000 to 8 nonprofit organizations focused on advancing equity in health and early childhood health and development.
From January to June 2025, Philadelphia Health Partnership awarded $555,000 in grants to eight organizations working to nurture, connect, and advocate.
NURTURE – Promoting the Optimal Development of Children from Prenatal to Age Five to Influence Health and Well-Being Across the Lifespan
- Education Law Center: $50,000 in support of legal services and advocacy to improve children’s access to early intervention services and full inclusion in early childhood education.
- ParentChild+: $50,000 in support of home visiting services for families with children from 16 months to four years old to stimulate parent-child interaction and develop children’s language, early literacy, and social-emotional skills.
- Philly Joy Bank: $50,000 in support of a guaranteed income pilot to improve birth outcomes and promote perinatal and early childhood health and well-being. The Philadelphia City Fund serves as the fiscal sponsor.
CONNECT – Improving Access to Equitable Care and Services to Address Disparities in Health and Well-Being
- HUNE (Hispanos Unidos para Niños Excepcionales): $15,000 in support of bilingual case management, family advocacy, and educational support services for children and youth with disabilities and their parents/caregivers.
ADVOCATE – Advancing Policy, Systems, and Structural Change to Achieve Equity in Health
- Children First: $65,000 in support of advocacy to expand children’s access to quality health care and early childhood services and prevent childhood lead poisoning.
- Early Intervention Part C (Infant Toddler) Work Group of Thriving Pa: $175,000 in support of statewide collaboration to improve the Pennsylvania Infant Toddler Early Intervention system. Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children serves as the fiscal agent.
- Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children: $75,000 in support of advocacy to improve children and families’ access to quality, equitable health insurance, child care, early intervention services, and home visiting services.
- Pennsylvania Voice: $75,000 in support of nonprofit partnership to expand civic participation, make voting easier, and secure equitable representation in state government.
