PHP Fall 2023 Grants Awarded

Philadelphia Health Partnership has awarded $488,000 to community-based organizations working to advance equity in health and early childhood health and development.

The programs supported include a focus on health access, reproductive justice, perinatal well-being, guaranteed income, and youth leadership.

The list of our Fall 2023 grantees:

AccessMatters: $150,000 (three-year grant) in support of protecting and expanding access to sexual and reproductive health care, family planning services, and comprehensive sex education.

Birth Justice Philly Summit: $5,000 in support of a cross-sector convening of perinatal health stakeholders to discuss strategies to promote an equitable future for the birthing people of Philadelphia.

Nationalities Service Center : $13,000 in support of participatory action research by a Stoneleigh Emerging Leadership Fellow and young co-researchers to reimagine behavioral health care for immigrant youth.

Philly Joy Bank: $200,000 (three-year grant) in support of a guaranteed income pilot to promote perinatal and early childhood health and well-being and address racial disparities in infant mortality.

Pennsylvania Health Access Network: $75,000 in support of promoting access to quality, equitable, and affordable health care and providing health insurance enrollment and navigation services.

The Village of Arts and Humanities: $45,000 in support of leadership programs that prepare young people to enter the workforce and postsecondary education as self-determined creative problem solvers and social innovators.

In its 25 year history, PHP has invested over $30 million in local nonprofits and awarded over 700 grants. So far, this year the foundation has awarded $1.37 million in grants ($864,000 in 2023 grants) to Nurture, Connect, Advocate, and Lead.
