PHP Fall 2024 Grants Awarded

Philadelphia Health Partnership has awarded $372,100 to organizations focused on advancing equity in health as well as early childhood health and development.

From July to September 2024, grants were awarded to ten nonprofits through our Nurture, Connect, Advocate, and Lead initiatives. 

 

NURTURE – Promoting the Optimal Development of Children from Prenatal to Age Five to Influence Health and Well-Being Across the Lifespan

  • Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP): $81,463 in support of implementation and evaluation of HealthySteps at CHOP Primary Care, Cobbs Creek and advocacy for payment reforms to resource behavioral health integration in pediatric primary care.
  • Philly Joy Bank: $50,000 in support of a guaranteed income pilot to promote perinatal and early childhood health and well-being while addressing racial disparities in infant mortality. The Philadelphia City Fund serves as the fiscal sponsor.

ADVOCATE – Advancing Policy, Systems, and Structural Change to Achieve Equity in Health

  • AccessMatters: $50,000 in support of protecting and expanding access to sexual and reproductive health care, family planning services, and comprehensive sex education.
  • Pennsylvania Health Access Network: $75,000 in support of promoting access to quality, equitable, and affordable health care and providing health insurance enrollment and navigation services.

LEAD – Building the Capacity of the Nonprofit and Health and Human Service Sectors for Racial Justice and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • African Family Health Organization: $5,000 in support of participation in the Economy League 2024 Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange (GPLEX).
  • Economy League of Greater Philadelphia: $15,600 in support of the 2024 Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange Scholarship Fund.
  • Oshun Family Center: $5,000 in support of participation in the Economy League 2024 Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange (GPLEX).
  • PhillyBOLT (Build Our Lives Together): $40,000 in support of work to cultivate, support, and empower grassroots leaders to drive community-led change.
  • The Village of Arts and Humanities: $45,000 in support of leadership programs that prepare young people to enter the workforce and postsecondary education as self-determined creative problem solvers and social innovators.
  • we R.E.I.G.N: $5,000 in support of participation in the Economy League 2024 Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange (GPLEX).
